The Yangoru-Saussia District in East Sepik Province, under the leadership of local MP and Minister for International Trade and Investment, Hon. Richard Maru, remains committed to its guiding principle of "God First and Education Second." For the past 12 years, the Yangoru-Saussia District Development Authority (DDA) has steadily invested in education to enhance learning opportunities in the region. Minister Maru has announced the completion of a new 4-in-1 classroom at Mohonji Four Square Primary School in Negrie. "I am delighted with the completion of this exceptional 4-in-1 classroom at Mohonji Four Square Primary School," said Minister Maru. "This project was executed by an outstanding team and financed by the Yangoru-Saussia DDA. We will officially open this classroom this month, along with another 4-in-1 classroom at Kukawi Primary School."
Minister Maru also revealed plans for additional educational infrastructure projects. "We are set to build new 4-in-1 classrooms at Boim-Sara Primary School and Kumbuhun Primary School. Next year, we will begin construction on the new Tuonumbu Primary School, while completing the 4-in-1 classroom at Simbomie and adding more staff houses and a 4-in-1 classroom at Numbo Primary School. We have also finished a 2-in-1 classroom at Saingi Primary School in the Sepik Plains," he said. Additionally, Wingei Secondary School is preparing for improvements with the installation of a new spike fence, further demonstrating the district's ongoing commitment to upgrading educational facilities and ensuring a secure learning environment.
