Undergraduate taiwan Scholarships
International students find it usually easy to live and study in Taiwan. One of the reasons is because of the low tuition fees in universities and colleges and the reasonable costs of living in Taiwan.
You can study in Taiwan by applying for any of the Taiwan Government Scholarships or as a privately sponsored student.
In order to encourage more applications from international students, many universities and colleges in Taiwan are increasing the number of degree courses taught partly or entirely in English.
Since 2015, Taiwan has been consistently increasing the number of scholarships for Papua New Guinea students, particularly to undertake undergraduate studies in various fields in different universities and colleges in Taiwan.
Taiwan will do the same for PNG for undergraduate programs, but obviously and as usual only few will be selected. Considering this fact and the current education dilemma in PNG, where we have so many students passing out after year 12 with good marks, yet could not secure a space to continue studies at our universities and colleges due to limited space, we encourage interested students from PNG to utilize this opportunity to consider applying to the universities and colleges in Taiwan to get an offer for a place to study because if you are not considered for a Taiwan Government Scholarship, you can still utilize the offer from the universities to study in Taiwan under self-sponsorship. Remember that you may still have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship in the following year depending on your academic performance in the first year of your studies. (Note that tuition fees alone for self-sponsor at universities and colleges in Taiwan for one academic year is between K5,500 - K7,500. Universities and colleges in Taiwan will provide accurate figures on request).
