Grade 12 Geology Examination Topics and Units
The Geology syllabus used to teach Geology at Upper Secondary (Grades 11 and 12) throughout Papua New Guinea outlines the main topics and units covered in the National Examinations. The syllabus builds on and enhances knowledge, skills and attitudes learnt in Lower Secondary, and provides students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of advanced geological knowledge to meet individual needs as well as local and global demands and challenges. Students studying geology at the upper Secondary (Grades 11 and 12) must be knowledgeable in the main Examination topics and units outlined in the syllabus.
Grade 11 Geology Subject topics
There are four main Examination topics learnt in grade 11. Students must be knowledgeable in all the topics in order to sit for the national examinations. The four main topics are outlined below.

Grade 12 GEOLOGY Examination Topics and Units

Grade 12 Examination specification - geology
The Examination Specification of the Geology subject is
a). at least 3 multiple choices questions for each unit is covered in the Grade 12 Examinations.
b). There are 10 questions each worth 7 marks in each unit of the geology subject. Thus all topics prescribed by the Geology syllabus must be taught and learnt.
