Roselyn Payagi, an elementary teacher from Pori local level government (LLG), left school in 1987 while, doing Grade 7 at Koroba High School (now secondary). Since leaving school 32 years ago, she enrolled at the Pai Hope Centre in 2019 and did Grade 7. ![]() The Papua New Guinea EDUCATION Minister Jimmy Uguro says Grade 12 students who sat the national examination Geography paper which contained an error will be awarded full marks. He said 10,548 out of the 29,651 Grade 12 students sat the Geography paper. Rickie Saigomi of St Charles Lwanga told The National that 10 multiple-choice questions and three short-answer questions were not related to the map provided. Twenty-five (25) year-old Kipson Ninjil started on the 22 nd of August this year and completed his Industrial Training on Friday, 30 th of September gaining hands-on experience and understanding of what is expected of him in a real job setting before beginning his career. Ninjil said he has gained valuable skills and knowledge about the different government business processes; work ethics and professionalism in an organization. ![]() THE Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curriculum is great for building social relationships and character development but the problem is whether it will continue without funding, says an official. In a recent consultation hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), ChildFund senior project officer Mcleen Pikachu welcomed the curriculum as a way to promote people having healthy relationships from an early age. “The sustainability of this curriculum is the biggest challenge that I see. “This process is currently tied to sponsored projects but what happens after the project ends? Will the schools, especially tertiary schools carry it on,” he asked. ![]() A GROUP of linguists and educationists want the government to standardise the teaching and learning of the English language in early childhood education as it can help improve the preservation of local vernaculars.
