WEST New Britain (WNB) Governor Sasindran Muthuvel says education is a key area of focus that he is committed to invest in and support students in the province. Muthuvel said this during presentation of a cheque for K200,000 from the provincial service improvement programme (PSIP) funds to the WNB School of Nursing in Kimbe last week. “The WNB School of Nursing has already witnessed four successful graduations, producing over 100 skilled and qualified nurses,” he said. “The increased manpower in the healthcare sector will positively contribute to the overall well-being and development of WNB and PNG. “The three-year diploma programme has played a pivotal role in training and empowering individuals and the increased manpower in the healthcare sector will positively contribute to the overall well-being and development strengthening the workforce in both WNB and PNG.
“In addition to the K200,000, the school has also been allocated separate land to establish comprehensive facilities. “This will ensure that students receive a conducive learning environment that meets their educational needs effectively.” Muthuvel said an additional K600,000 would be made available to address the infrastructure needs of the school. He said Caritas Girls Secondary School and Trinity Secondary School in Kimbe would also receive K200,000 reach from the PSIP. TheNational/PNG Education news Also read Comments are closed.
