![]() PNG Department of Higher Education Secretary Fr Jan Czuba has written to the office of Prime Minister James Marape, reporting unprofessional conduct by the Minister for Higher Education and Minister for Sports Wesley Raminai, in using inaccurate information to discredit him. Fr Czuba through a letter dated March 31, that was obtained by the Post-Courier yesterday, wrote to Mr Marape’s office, reporting unprofessional action by Raminai, when he used unsubstantiated information from terminated DHERST staff, an issue that was currently before the Waigani Committal Court, to ask him to ![]() The Member for Ialibu-Pangia and former Prime Minister Peter O'Neil has allocated K2 million to subsidize the tuition fees for Ialibu-Pangia students who are studying in respective institutions in the country and overseas. The K2 million subsidy will be used to subsidize the tuition fees for more than 900 students. Students studying in overseas institutions will be subsidized with five thousand kina, while students studying in higher learning institution (within the country) will be subsidized with two thousand kina and students in colleges and technical schools will receive one thousand kina respectively. ![]() When Jennifer Monipa signed up to visit remote villages in Western province as a trainee midwife, she was looking forward to applying her new skills and knowledge and learning as much as possible. Hailing from Japarakwa village of Kubalia in East Sepik, 34 year old Papinduo is the last of eight siblings (he has three sisters and four other brothers). “I lost my mother at a very young age when I was doing my grade three back in the village,” Papinduo said. He said teachers’ resumption of duty summary sheets (Rodds) was supposed to happen last week but with the shutdown of services, the remaining teachers Rodss on hand would now be affected. “Auto-suspension or automated suspension happens when the system (Alesco payroll) suspends teachers when their resumption of duty form is not registered in the system,” he said. ![]() PNG DEPARTMENT of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (DHERST) secretary Fr Jan Czuba will return to court in a months’ time for submissions after his police file was served on him.
