Abraham, 24, is from Lanemanda village in the Tsak local level government, Wapenamanda district, Enga. He started his education in 2002 when he enrolled into elementary school. Abraham did grades 3 to 6 at Kwia Primary School in Wapenamanda. However, due to several personal issues, he was transferred to Wapenamanda Primary School to do grades 7 and 8. He passed out from Wapenamanda Primary in 2010 after completing his primary education. ![]() THE University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) is set to use a new payroll system to comply with Government financial management requirements, vice-chancellor Prof Frank Griffin says. This call, after more than a thousand students from the Lutheran Day Primary school in Madang town, fled the school yesterday after hearing rumours on the streets that they were going to be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine. From a broken scan radio to changing the water coolant from the car; my dad loved fixing and repairing things. This caught my attention to want to learn how to fix things too. Since my dad had a science background, I decided from an early age to be in the science and technology industry. While I was in high school, I realised that I wanted to be a teacher in the science and technology area so that I can teach the next generation what knowledge I have. I believe that education is the key to people making well-informed and better decisions for a better future. Upon completion of her two-year study for her Masters in Computer Networks at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów, Poland, Melanie will join the Western Pacific University campus as a tutor. Melanie Jugan is currently studying for her Masters in Computer Networks at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów, Poland. Upon completing this two-year program, Ms. Jugan will have gained professional knowledge and skills in creating, designing, implementing and securing computer systems and networks. ![]() DEVELOPING a child at an early age is important for nation building, says Education Minster Jimmy Uguro. Uguro said this on Friday during the launching of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) policy in Port Moresby. He said in order to help develop a child, a teacher should know the child and impart the right knowledge to the child. Uguro thanked the Government, former education ministers and other stakeholders for their support. Education secretary Dr Uke Kombra said this was the first time that ECE was recognised by the government. |
