The Goilala District Development Authority has enrolled more than 300 students in over 30 tertiary institutions in the country under its Education Sponsorship Scheme. It is the first time that the students from the district in Central province have been given the privilege to continue their education in various institutions throughout the country. Coordinator of the Education Sponsorship Scheme, Boniface Aia says the education scheme was established for the purpose of assisting students in the district to continue their education and become a change in society. The DDA is in the process of deliberating on applications to select institutions for students that have been enrolled to maintain their space and continue their studies.
The local MP Casmiro Aia says he is prioritizing health and education programs under his leadership to set the pathway for the district to prosper in terms of developing human capital and promoting healthy living in respective societies in the district.
