On Thursday the 23rd of February, the Sir Brian Bell Foundation (SBBF) CEO – Mrs Bronwyn Wright and former Kumul Captain David Mead made the trip on the Magi Highway to Tubuserea Village to visit and donate sporting equipment to the teachers and students of Tubuserea Primary School. Tubuserea Primary School students from the upper primary campus comprising of Grades 6-8 were very excited to see David and the SBBF team. The former Kumuls star addressed the children and revealed that this was his old school before leaving for Australia and he was excited to be back and bring the SBBF Team. He thanked SBBF CEO Mrs Bronwyn Wright for their support and went on to encourage the students to work hard at school. David emphasized to the students that Education is the key, and to be Respectful to teachers and Respectful to the community.
Mrs Bronwyn Wright expressed how grateful she was to work for the foundation to help communities and schools like Tubuserea Primary School. She further thanked David for inviting SBBF to Tubuserea to be part of this event and was excited for the children as this donation ties into the SBBF pillars of healthcare and education. Mrs Wright displayed the soccer and rugby balls which were branded with the foundation logo and had positive messages on them like “Imagine, Dream, believe and Never Give up” designed to inspire the students while they use them and play. The donation from the foundation also included volleyballs, netballs, ball bags, volleyball nets and cricket sets. The administration and students were all overwhelmed as the SBBF team brought out the goods and cheered and clapped with excitement. The donation was well received by the excited students and teachers who were all grinning from ear to ear. David said thanks to Tubuserea Primary and SBBF than officially presented the Donation to the Chairman to Tubuserea Primary School Mr. Manu Momo. Mr. Momo thanked David Mead, Bronwyn Wright and SBBF, and was extremely humbled and grateful for the support. He mentioned that this donation was timely as they were looking to purchase new equipment for the school and this donation was an answer to their prayers. Also read Comments are closed.
