Professor Shamsul Akanda, the Dean of Post Graduate School at UNITECH, spoke today about the university’s faculty research programs, the engineering programs and accreditation, and postgraduate research programs. Magistrate Issac Tjipet sentenced Wama Mokeng, from Nawaeb’s Kaisia, for threatening behaviour by swinging a bush knife at Ovin Kolias . Mokeng, single and had no prior conviction, appeared from custody last week because he was denied bail on safety grounds. The incident took place on June 17 at about 4.30pm when Kolias was doing dishes in a nearby creek. A STUDENT from Madang Teachers’ College was arrested and charged with drinking in a public place and using insulting words at the college on Thursday.
According to Madang police commander Supt Mazuc Rubiang, the student after consuming liquor somewhere along the school gate, saw a police vehicle driving past the school. ![]() THE Papua New Guinea Government has been under-funding the Education Department for more than 10 years, creating critical education service delivery gaps, according to the Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council.
