The Prime Minister James Marape is urging Tari-Pori students at the University of PNG to plan their destinies at a young age. This is his motivational message, when speaking to Hela students at a Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance in Port Moresby. He says, setting aims in life does have its own sacrifices, but opportunities are always there, and must not be squandered. The Prime Minister shared his life story where in July 1994 he chose to return to Tari, leaving behind Port Moresby based friends, rugby league, and an exciting club-life. He says he stayed in his village for 10 years, and had a long-term aim in life, which he worked towards. Becoming Prime Minister is one opportunity that came in life. Meantime, PM Marape is going to engage the students, through the Tari-Pori District Development Authority to carry out awareness work during their holidays.
