Katagu Lutheran Teachers College

​This is a newly ELC-PNG established teachers college awaiting registration endorsement from NEB. It was established in 2018 and now has over 500 Year 1 and 2 students from all over PNG. It offers 3 Year Diploma in Primary Teaching and a 4 Year Bachelor of Education(Primary) under new Standard Based Primary Teacher Training Curriculum. The college is based at Lower Bena LLG, in the Unggai Bena District of Eastern Highlands. It is a 20 minute from Goroka and can be excessed by two roads from Goroka. It has highly qualified and experienced teachers college lecturers with qualification ranging from Doctorate to Masters and are determined to provided quality Christian teachers. It has situated on 11 hectare campus of former Interface New Tribe Mission facility that has some of the quality faculties that are offered by any teachers colleges in Papua New Guinea. The college accepts students with GPA of 2.4 and above and they go through strident selection process such as an entry test.
