It was established in 2018 and now has over 500 Year 1 and 2 students from all over PNG. It offers 3 Year Diploma in Primary Teaching and a 4 Year Bachelor of Education(Primary) under new Standard Based Primary Teacher Training Curriculum. The college is based at Lower Bena LLG, in the Unggai Bena District of Eastern Highlands. It is a 20 minute from Goroka and can be excessed by two roads from Goroka. It has highly qualified and experienced teachers college lecturers with qualification ranging from Doctorate to Masters and are determined to provided quality Christian teachers. It has situated on 11 hectare campus of former Interface New Tribe Mission facility that has some of the quality faculties that are offered by any teachers colleges in Papua New Guinea. The college accepts students with GPA of 2.4 and above and they go through strident selection process such as an entry test.

How to Apply
  • School Leavers.

Any students who are currently in year 12 (Grade 12) has to put first choice as Balob teachers college on their School Leavers Form to be accepted. The recommended Grade 12 higher certificate result must be C grade or above.

Non School levers

Non school leavers can also apply to the college for studies. A non-school leaver must fill the non school leaver application form to apply to the college. Usually, a student must enrolled at the matriculation center or other private schools in order to apply.
