The most painful moments of my life were when I had to deal with the deaths in my immediate family when I questioned God's plan for me and my family. My big sister hung herself at our family home at June Valley and my elder brother was murdered at Gordons market. "It was absolutely a heart breaking for a young me.I had to tireless take care of my mother and my father most of the time putting studies on halt but I always trust in God. Sadly, my father also passed on when I was looking forward to completing my year 11 in 2015." "I was sick to the bone, by police brutality in my home province seeing young men like me inhumanly beaten up which stirred me up even more greater desire to study Law." After much painful moments, Emmanuel broke down in tears when he saw his name on the Newspaper to study Law at UPNG in 2017, after completing his Grade 12 at Bishop Leo Arkfeld Secondary School in Wewak, East Sepik Province. My favourite Bible verse is Roman 8:37. We are more than a conqueror through Christ who loved us. "Your mind is one of the most powerful and creative tools that God has given you to shape your reality, influence your life and make you more than a conqueror through Christ." There are many students who have gone through the same situation. What is your advice to students who doubt themselves and their dreams? "Do not have doubt in your dreams, there is always a time for everything. A time to dance and a time to cry. A time to sing and a time to mourn. With your whole heart, hold on to God and never forget that he is good in every situations in our life." Alluding to his family's tough time, Emmanuel said, use your struggles and painful moments as a stepping stone and your glory days as a reminder that there will be a time life will knocks you off the ring but always get up, put on your gloves and swing away because the taste of victory is as sweet as honey at the end of the battle.. Emmanuel Wanya is a final year Bachelor of Law student at the University of Papua New Guinea. ....
