TOTALEnergies is proposing a tertiary scholarship programme targeting third-year students of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) in 2024. Community affairs manager Richard Kassman told the university last week on the company’s interest to collaborate with the university for further student talent development. “We hope to introduce this scholarship in 2024 for third-year students which will cover full tuition fees, board and lodging fees, return airfares, book allowances, and stipends,” he said Kassman said from the scholarship, the top-performing students would be considered for the company’s graduate development programme.
A statement by the university explained that the scholarship would target students studying in engineering programmes, applied physics, communication and development studies, geographic information science, agriculture and rural development and applied chemistry. During the visit, TotalEnergies also made a donation of six laptops, Cisco wireless controllers, routers, firewall, and two VoIP phones.
