THE PNG National Government will look for money to pay last year’s outstanding school fee subsidy, Education Minister Jimmy Uguro says. Uguro said this in response to his predecessor, Joseph Yopyyopy’s, comments this week that some schools still had not received their share of the government tuition fee subsidy which was the 63 per cent component which was to be paid for by the Government. He said the Government was waiting for a report from the Education secretary on how many schools received the funds and which ones missed out.
He said 2020 had been a difficult year because of the impact of the Covid-19 on Government services. The National / PNG Education News Next : No Increase In UPNG Compulsory Fees In 2021 Comments are closed.
