Papua New Guinea HIGHER Education Minister Don Polye has urged all higher education institutions including the University of Papua New Guinea to let registrations and orientations proceed without disruption. He said any issues arising could be addressed later. Polye was responding to issues raised by UPNG and other institutions. “I as the minister shall allow all registration and orientation programmes of UPNG and all other higher education institutions to take place without disruptions,” he said. Polye said all education institutions should be opened.
He said they were there for integral human development and it was the sacred duty of all to exercise love, care, competence, responsibility and vigilance “in the work to train the human mind”. He said mandate of education institutions was sacred as it directly dealt with mind of every student. “I see no space for abuse and irresponsible behaviour in them. “I call on parents, guardians, stakeholders and corporate sponsors to trust my leadership as all high education institutions are in good hands. I am addressing and shall address all issues and resolve all of them.” The National / PNG Education news next : Online Payment Of PNG University Fees Causing Frustration Comments are closed.
