![]() THE Institute of Business Studies University (IBSU) will award five scholarships to participants who take part in this year’s Trukai Fun Run slated for Sunday. The five lucky winners in Port Moresby will have the opportunity to study a certificate course in business, accounting and information technology. IBSU vice chancellor Ram Arunachalam said the institute was proud to support the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee in their major fundraising event sponsored by Trukai. Participants can enter the draw by purchasing a 2023 Trukai Fun Run shirt for K20 at the selected outlets (Trophy Haus and City Pharmacy Limited) and fill an indemnity form located in the shirt’s packet.
The forms should be submitted to Trukai team on Sunday morning prior to the race with the draw scheduled after the race at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium. “It’s a great excitement and wonderful news for the participants of (Trukai) Fun Run event. IBS will sponsor five scholarships to the participants in the event,” Arunachalam said yesterday. “The registration form will allow the participants to indicate if they want to enter the draw for the scholarships. “Five lucky winners will be drawn from that for the IBS university scholarships. “They will have the opportunity to choose one of the first level programme in business, accounting as well as information technology.” The initiative signifies the institution’s ongoing partnership with PNGOC. IBSU provides various types of scholarships to Team PNG athletes, providing a pathway for life after sports. “IBS is providing that transition for them to study at certificate level three and four programmes, in addition to that, university diploma to degree programmes, when they complete their athletic events,” he said. “It has a total value of K100,000 in a year that is associated with PNGOC to support the great event in developing sport in the country.” Also read Comments are closed.
