![]() A total of 30, 000 students from 188 secondary and the 6 national high schools will sit the Grade 12 National Examinations starting on Monday 26th to Friday 30th October. Over 73, 000 Grade 10 students from 350 high & secondary schools will complete the Exams today (Friday). Over 130, 000 students from 3, 400 primary schools will sit the Grade 8 National Exams from 2nd -5th November. Only the students from the permitted schools, approved by the Department of Education will sit the three national examinations. The Department of Education through the Measurement Services Division has distributed the examination materials to the provinces. Below is the schedule for the Grade 12 Examinations
Monday 26th October Session 1 : Advance Math Paper 1 / General Maths paper 1 Session 2 : Applied Science / History Tuesday 27th October Session 1 :Physics / Accounting Session 2 :Geography Wednesday 28th October Session 1 : Economics / Biology Session 2 : Geology / Business Studies Thursday 29th October Session 1 : Lang & Literature / Applied English Session 2 : Chemistry / Legal Studies Friday 30th October Session 1 : Information Technology (ICT) Session 2 : Advance Maths Paper 2 / General Maths Paper 2 Dr. Kombra urged all schools to conduct examinations at the scheduled times as per the revised dates. He said these times are fixed and cannot be changed and should be conducted at the scheduled timings only. The department has warned students, teachers and schools not to cheat in Examinations. He has reminded everyone that the penalty for cheating or assisting to cheat in the National Examination is Non Certification, and the External invigilators, Schools and Standards Officers must report all observed malpractices to the Measurement Services Division for analysis and action. The teachers are not allowed to view, read or access Exam Papers while conducting the exams. Mobile phones are also banned from the Exam Rooms for students and all school personnel. Principals and Deputy Principals must stay in school during all exams and enforce strict implementation of the schedule and abide by all Measurement Services regulations relating to examinations. All concerned parties have been urged to make every effort to give all students and schools “a fair go” and to be honest and say NO to examination cheating.
