In the event of the school presentation Enga Action Governor told the Pogera people that Pogera Mine is going through re-negotiation to ensure Barrick complies with the government's terms so that the benefit goes back to the people. "When I first took the office as Governor, I tried to advise both Companies to re-discuss terms for the benefit of the people but to no avail and today when I have this chance, I have to makesure my people benefit what is truly theirs. We are looking at 51% against 49% whereas previously was only 5%," Chief Sir Peter Ipatas continued. All local Contractors should be patient as per what I'm doing is for them and the entire Enga people." The huge crowd was listening attentively when Action Governor enlilightened the Pogera Mine case. "People of Pogera and Enga Should be patient as it eventually pays off. Enga Provincial Government and Pogera People should be part of the mining and not just some observers. We have to be part of the returns and decision making of the Mining." said Enga Governor.
