The Papua New Guinea Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra is calling for fair national examinations for the 235, 000 students who will be sitting for exams in October and November. A total of 30, 000 students from 188 secondary and the 6 national high schools will sit the Grade 12 National Exams, 73, 000 students from 350 high & secondary schools will sit the Grade 10 National Exams and 130, 000 students from 3, 400 primary schools will sit the Grade 8 National Exams. Students from the permitted schools, approved by the Department of Education will sit the three national examinations.
According to the National Examinations revised dates;
Dr. Kombra urged all schools to conduct examinations at the scheduled times as per the revised dates. He said these times are fixed and cannot be changed and should be conducted at the scheduled timings only.
