![]() All schools throughout the country will be receiving their final quarter of the Tuition Fee Free (TFF) funds this week. Papua New Guinea's Education Minister Jimmy Uguro announced today that they will be releasing the remaining K158 million anytime this week. GRADE Eight students of Nangananga Primary School in the Raluana local level government, Kokopo, East New Britain, are sitting their examinations with supervision from parents, leaders and teachers.
The school had been closed for the last three weeks following fights between two wards, Vunaulul and Livuan, which also led to the killing of a man and damaging of properties. The decision to close the school came after an agreement made by all senior community heads and was supported by the people. EARLY childhood learning is the foundation of having a better generation of Papua New Guineans in the future, North Waghi MP Benjamin Mul says.

Since leaving school 32 years ago, she enrolled at the Pai Hope Centre in 2019 and did Grade 7. ![]() The Papua New Guinea EDUCATION Minister Jimmy Uguro says Grade 12 students who sat the national examination Geography paper which contained an error will be awarded full marks. He said 10,548 out of the 29,651 Grade 12 students sat the Geography paper. Rickie Saigomi of St Charles Lwanga told The National that 10 multiple-choice questions and three short-answer questions were not related to the map provided. Recently, the airline delivered examinations papers to Simbai , one of the isolated and hardly reached places in PNG. Twenty-five (25) year-old Kipson Ninjil started on the 22 nd of August this year and completed his Industrial Training on Friday, 30 th of September gaining hands-on experience and understanding of what is expected of him in a real job setting before beginning his career. Ninjil said he has gained valuable skills and knowledge about the different government business processes; work ethics and professionalism in an organization. ![]() THE Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curriculum is great for building social relationships and character development but the problem is whether it will continue without funding, says an official. In a recent consultation hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), ChildFund senior project officer Mcleen Pikachu welcomed the curriculum as a way to promote people having healthy relationships from an early age. “The sustainability of this curriculum is the biggest challenge that I see. “This process is currently tied to sponsored projects but what happens after the project ends? Will the schools, especially tertiary schools carry it on,” he asked. |
