Bialla Matriculation School

​Bialla Matriculation School is an independent day secondary school in Bialla West New Britain Province. The school was established in January 2015 in the heart of Bialla Town adjacent to Bialla Guest House. Its mission is to provide quality second chance secondary education to school leavers in Bialla and West New Britain Province. It is registered with the National Department of Education as an "Approved Permitted Secondary School" and therefore offers the NDOE Curriculum and Syllabus, the Assessment and Reporting Policy, Behavior Management Policy and follows the National Education Calendar. Students sit the National Certificate Examination and the Grade 12s apply to tertiary institutions through the National Online Application (NOAS) of DHERST similar to other Grade 12s in Papua New Guinea. The Board of Directors have set the school fee limit at K2000.00 per annum but are paid in instalments of K500.00 a term. Interested students outside of Bialla must have their own accommodation in Bialla. Bialla Matriculation School is a small school and therefore our enrolment and registration space is limited to only 40 per grade. A total of 10 first degree graduates in various subject discipline are annually recruited to teach Upper and Lower secondary school subjects.
