You will have to take Foundation Maths in your 1st year and Foundation Math's prerequisite is Maths A.. So the answer is No..

Hello there,

I graduated in 2008 as a Bio-Chem (maths A) student but never received any offers due to the fact that I had lined all C's on my certificate. I know I could've done better or try upgrading my marks but I was financially handicapped. I had to work and find my way to get a sponsor. My sponsors only would vouch for me if I'm accepted as a student despite the cost. Yet I cannot go to DODL and work at the same time.
There's a thousand more like me who've lost their first chance, but a few who chase after the second...
I know my credentials don't stand out enough to get me a seat, but I believe in second chances because I found mine... The only problem is; getting you to believe that too.
I live and work in the highlands, and I don't know how to get an application form, if anyone can give me a tip, I would be so grateful.
So, thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi, I have the required marks in each of the subjects mentioned for the course, B in Maths A and Language and Literature with C in Chemistry and Physics.
And with a GPA of 3.08 first semester and 2.75 second semester last year in Don Bosco Technological Institute. This year I'll be graduating with Diploma in Motor Vehicle Technology, however I really want to do my further study therefore am asking if it is possible for me to continue.

I studied sciences courses; Maths A, Biology, Chemistry, Economics & English at grade 12. However, I ended up studying a Management course at one of PNG universities and attained a first degree. I have been working since 2012 and 23 Jan 2016 will be my 4th year at field. Yet, I am my childhood dream in becoming a medical doctor still lingers. I completed my gr.12 last year (2016) with the following results; "B" in L&L, "B" in mathsA, "B" in biology, and"A" in chemistry am currently doing my first year at DWU taking up RURAL HEALTH.
My aim was to become a Medical Doctor but due to slide changes to the entry requirements (requiring block science), since I did not take physics in my grade 12 level I have no choice to make it to UPNG .
Is there any possibilities for me to get into the university while a HEO student at DWU to pursue my dream with my grade12 results eventhough I did not take Physics ??

To get into first year to be on the safer side it's best you score a gpa over 3.2. More importantly you should score an A or B in maths A strictly no Maths B. If your taking any science you have to Score atleast a B. Nowadays the students are getting smarter due to technology and more students are scoring better marks than before. So to be on the safer side scoring just A's and B's will definitely guarantee you a spot in science foundation. As a said its not the Gpa but your grades. There isn't a set gpa but just your grades.

I want to study at upng taking up science foundation but I only study two science subjects, that is physics and chemistry. Biology no. Also I take maths a. Is it possible for me to apply or not? Please help me.

I did matriculation studies at DODL in Madang upgrading three of my science subjects Physics Chemistry and Biology including Maths A as well. I got As in Physics Chemistry and Maths A but C again in Biology.I applied to your institution particularly on the course 'Science Foundation' but still I'm not satisfied because I got C in Biology therefore I'm writing to your consideration to check if I'm eligible to secure a place in UPNG or not.I know my comment may sound weird to you but at least a reply from you may satisfy me one way or the other.

I have taken block science, L&L and Maths A in grade 12. I have scored Bs accross and C for physics.
I was accepted at DWU and studied Health Sciences and graduated with Bachelor in Rural Health in 2012 then completed 2 yrs of residency program in February 2014.

I am now working as Clinical HEO. This would be my 4th yr of working in the field.

However, I am very much interested to study MBBS and am planing to apply for studying in 2019.

I'm currently doing my first year at the Don Bosco Technological institute majoring Bachalor in Mechanical Technology.in my first semester i scored all Distintions and credits and ended up with good GPA.
And on my examination last year 2017 i scored A in maths A,B in physics chem and biology and c in L$L.
