STUDENTS of Wawin Primary School in the Wampar local level government, Huon Gulf, Morobe, have a new double classroom built at a cost of K250,000. MP Ross Seymour, who opened the double classroom, said the district development authority would pay the students’ project fees as well. The classroom was named the Gah (chief) Ross Seymour Study Hall. Seymour said his priority was to improve education and one of these ways was by erecting infrastructures for 60 primary schools. “Congratulation to the beneficiaries at Wawin for this classroom where you can learn properly, think big and think of the future of what you can do for us in Wawin, Wampar, Huon Gulf, Morobe and our country Papua New Guinea.
“Our teachers, thank you for your support in continuing long hours in such atmosphere. “You know things are hard, times are tough, our economy is facing hard times but that should not affect us,” Seymour said. Seymour said his vision was to make education a priority so all children in his district could receive quality education and become valuable members of the district, province and the country. “In giving this classroom I am also giving you a present that your school project fees is paid by the district,” he added. “Teachers and board of management, when the children come and have no school fees don’t reject them. “You take them in, that is their right to come and get educated.” The national / PNG Education News next : Manam High School Construction Work In Progress Comments are closed.
