THE University of Goroka (UOG) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Teleformin development authority (TDDA) to train 10 teachers annually. The teachers are to return to serve in the district. “The UOG will accept 10 students from Teleformin Secondary School to take up studies in various programmes at UOG,” Teleformin MP Solan Mirisin said. “TDDA will fully fund these students for all the years they study at UOG.
“After graduating, these students will return to serve for three years before they decide to either continue teaching in the district or leave for other districts or provinces,” he said. “The MOA will start next year.” UOG vice-chancellor Prof Musawe Sinebare said: “This MOA covers working community health workers (CHW). “They can go for studies at UOG and return and teach trainee CHW at the CHW training school.” The National/PNGEducationNews Next : Educating Children Is Life-Time Investment : Minister Comments are closed.
