The University of Goroka (UOG) has released the fee structure for year 2021. Current students or new students who will be studying at the university should take note of the student fee structure for year 2021. According to the university, the fees have not changed and remained the same as in 2020.
The 2021 Level 4 Content student will pay less the IT fee component as it was billed in Level 3 in 2020. The 2021 Level 3 Content student will pay less IT fee component as it will be billed in Level 4 in 2022. 2020 Outstanding Tuition Fees MUST be settled together with payments of a Compulsory Fee component for 2021 before a student can fully register for 2021 Academic Year. This includes the category of students with unsuccessful HELP Loan application status in 2020.
to pay 75% of 2021 Tuition Fees component by Friday, 29th January 2021 before Registration. Students (Candidates) who completed Grade 12 AFTER 2012 are eligible and may apply for HELP Loan in 2021. It is a pre requisite to present a valid NID Card with other supporting documents before applying for HELP Loan. This category of students (candidates) are required to pay a Compulsory Fee of K2000 by Friday, 29th January 2021 as instalment payment of 2021Tuition Fee and the balance can be acquired through the HELP Loan scheme. If however the HELP Loan is unsuccessful you have to sort out the Fees for UoG. Fully fee paying students will be allowed to access Hall of Residence at the Campus. Priority will be given to National Government TESAS recipients and Corporate Sponsored students.

Registration for All Students will be from the 10th to the 19th February 2021 and will be conducted in Schools and Institute. Late Registration will be from 20th February to 5th March 2021. A fee of K200 will be charged for the late registration. All students are required to complete the payment of their compulsory fee components before the Registration date.
Your travel fares to and from the University will be met by yourself and / or your private sponsors. Sponsored Students: Your travel fares to and from the University will be paid by your sponsor. Those on Department of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology sponsorship will not be allowed any excess baggage above the normal allowance of 16kgs. As of Friday 4th February 2019, the University Bus will meet all incoming flights from the airport. If you arrive after 4:00 pm, telephone the Security Office on Phone No. 531 1775 or 531 1750 for pick up.
The Course runs from 8th February to 29th November 2021. The Academic Year is divided into two semesters of thirteen weeks each. There are Study Breaks in the middle of each semester and a vacation between semesters. A copy of the University Calendar will be given to you on arrival. Professional Experience takes place from 22nd July to 03rd September, 2021 for all students except for Pre-Service Years 1, 2 & 3, Bachelor of Education In-service Years 1&2, Year 1 Diploma and Postgraduate students.
You will need to bring a mattress, bed sheets, blankets and pillows with you, or money to buy them in town. Goroka is in the high altitude area and you may need two blankets to keep you warm at night. You should naturally bring enough clothing with you to last a year including warm clothing. NOTE: Board and Lodging on campus will be made available strictly to School Leavers and continuing Pre-service Students under government sponsor [AES & HECAS], who pay up the full compulsory fees. All debts and outstanding fees for Continuing Students from 2020 must be settled in full before commencing 2021 academic year plus compulsory fee for 2021 and to be paid in FULL before registration. Students failing to meet the above requirement will be denied registration. Students under the government sponsor [AES & HECAS] and opt to live off campus AUTOMATICALLY forfeit their boarding and lodging entitlements.
