Vice Chancellor of the University of Papua New Guinea Professor Frank Griffin says, participation of students in their respective provincial groups on campus will cease in the 2020 academic year. He says this is due to too much regionalism. He says as elites of the country, students should unite to move the country forward rather than creating divisions amongst themselves. Professor Griffin, while addressing the student body at the main campus forum square this week says our country will not develop if we create different ethnic groups as educated elites. Meantime, he says the university administration will be organizing proper cultural day celebrations at the campus in the future.
