![]() FOUR Madang Technical College (MTC) students were arrested after police found them drunk and behaving disorderly in public, provincial commander acting Supt Mazuc Rubiang says. “After their explanation, they were strongly cautioned and sent back to school,” he added. “Madang is one of the provinces that have many tertiary institutions. “The educated future elites of this country must behave like students when they are outside of school. “Be proud of where you are and you must not do things that an illiterate person engaged in.”
Acting Supt Rubiang said many students had lost their lives while in school in the past. He said this year was good and urged students of Divine Word University, MTC, Lutheran School of Nursing, Maritime College and private schools to behave during the remaining months and return to their parents peacefully. “Parents do not want to hear that their child is in the police lockup or had died,” he said. “They did not send you here to go out with friends on drinking sprees. “They have high expectations of you graduating and gainfully employed to support them.” Acting Supt Rubiang said many students did not respect the police when they attempted to correct them “You risk arrest and charges and this will force you to miss classes, thus, disappointing your parents.” Next: PNG Students Studying At The University Of Colombo In Sri Lanka Doing Well Comments are closed.
