![]() Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has announced with the extension of the SOE, schools will be extending two more weeks of holiday. With the term 1 school holiday initially to begin next week as per the education calendar, the govt says schools will remain close for another two weeks of holiday. The PM told the media this afternoon after the two weeks extension of term one school holidays, the govt will announce by April 27th whether or not schools will resume depending on its assessment of the situation. This include primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. Meantime, PMV buses will be allowed to operate as of next Tuesday but under strict hygiene guidelines. SOE Controller David Manning says buses must carry sanitizers. Manning says 25 seater buses will be allowed to carry only 20 passengers. Domestic flights will open up but also under very strict protocols, including personal questions like where you going, for what purpose and place residence.
