![]() The Divine Word University hosted its 40th Graduation Ceremony on the Friday 11th March 2022, 69 students graduated with A Master’s Degree, 503 graduated with Bachelor’s Degree, 4 students graduated with certificates in Data Networking, 17 students graduated with Postgraduate Certificates and one student graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in high Education Teaching and learning. As part of our continuous support to the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department of DWU, PNGTPA presented the Academic Excellence Award to Ms Stephanie Kombo, In recognition of her outstanding performance as a final year student of the Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University. The Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management, the Department had a total of 22 Graduates. PNGTPA also acknowledges the other three Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management graduates who received their Academic Excellence awards, Ms Vanessa Gelimbing who also received the Madang Visitors and Cultural Bureau Award, Ms Jerusalem Marisep who received the Papua New Guinea Tourism Industry Association award and Ms Carmela Piniau who received the Melanesian Tourist Services and Madang Resort Award. Ms Kombo from Hagen, Western Highlands Province, graduated with the 2nd Highest cumulative GPA in DWU during her 4 years of Study. Representing PNGTPA, Ms Abuti Kevin presented the graduate with the award for her outstanding achievement. The PNGTPA team led by Ms Kevin had the opportunity to Interview Ms Kombo on her ambitions and aspirations towards the tourism industry and why she pursue it as a field of study.
