![]() The students at the Papua New Guinea University of Natural Resources and Environment in East New Britain Province have locked out the Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor from their respective offices. They have also locked up the Registrar's Office. This happened yesterday after the students became frustrated over the administering of students welfare and academic performance, and the lack of a positive response to their two petitions. A full strike by the whole campus started today while waiting for the Minister for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Wesley Raminai, and his department Secretary to address the petitions.
There's heavy police patrol on campus to ensure there are no further disruptions. NBC News / PNGeducationnews next : Over 75 000 Grade 10 Students Sit For Written Expression Examination Comments are closed.
