1 The sub-total of Compulsory Fees together with outstanding fees owing by continuing students must be paid in full before the 8th February, 2023 2 If you are unable to pay full annual Boarding & Lodging fees, you must pay fifty (50%) percent of the fees before the 8th February 2023, with the remaining balance to be paid by the 30th June, 2023 3 All Fees must be paid into the PNG University of Natural Resources & Environment's Bank Account # 1000-688625 with Bank South Pacific, Kokopo Branch 4 You must ensure that the Bank Teller inputs the student's name to appear on the bank statement, and the deposit slip must clearly show the student's name and Bank Account number. The deposit slip must be presented at the University's Accounts Section for an Official Receipt to be issued. 5 Non-payment of the required fees by the given deadline will deny completion of your registration formalities. 6 Some fees have been reduced while others have been increased to accommodate the increases in prices of goods and services. 7 The fee for clinical services covers the increased costs of basic clinical services provided by the University Clinic and costs related to procurement of other medical services. Year 2023 University Fees Schedule 8 The fee for Academic Resources covers the Library costs and ICT services, and is payable by all students; whilst the Laptop Fee is only applicable to first year students. 9 The Insurance Fee meets the costs of providing insurance cover for a student on an annual basis. 10 The fee for Repairs & Maintenance is to cover for possible losses or damages to University property. It costs the University more for the damages to the rooms by students. 11 The University is not able to provide self-contained accommodation for Corporate Sponsored Students; therefore, their Board & Lodging Fees have been reduced. 12 Fees payable by a student on TESAS Scholarship may be adjusted subject to advice from the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science,& Technology (DHERST). 13 The university does not accept "Letters of Gurantee" as a means for a student to register. All fees must be paid in full by the 8th February, 2023. 14 Any student who is not able to pay all applicable fees as stated above, must not come to PNG UNRE for studies in 2023. The University will not be responsible for the welfare of any student who turns up without paying the required fees, and is denied Registration and, Board & Lodging facilities on campus. SOME IMPORTANT DATES 1. Students start arriving on the 8th February, 2023. 2. Orientation for the new students will run from the 13th February, 2023 to the 17th February, 2023. 3. Registration for all students will be conducted as students arrive and will close on the 17th February, 2023. 4. Late registration will be conducted on the 27th February, 2023. Students will be required to pay a Late Registration fee of K50 in order to register late or be denied registration. 5. Lectures for all students will begin on the 20th February, 2023. Jennifer G.
