Young Papua New Guineans can get an exclusive experience at the University of Chicago.
Thanks to the Obama Foundation Scholars Program, young aspiring leaders from around the globe who are already making a difference in their community are given the opportunity to take their work to the next level.
The program is calling for applicants with three to five years work experience, demonstrated records of community service or working for the public good, a clear focus on global chaalenge and a commitment to reinvest the new skills in your community after the program concludes.
Obama Foundation Scholars provides young leaders from around the world the chance to earn a Master of Arts degree focused on International Development and Policy at the University Of Chicago Harris School Of Public Policy.
The program offers a new designed curriculum that brings together and hands-on learning with the Obama Foundation outside the classroom.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming an outstanding class of young people to Chicago’s South Side—the future home of the Obama Presidential Center. And we hope that each class of Obama Foundation Scholars begins a journey in which they inspire more young people to build the world as it should be,” Said the former US President, Mr Barack Obama.
The program will build lasting relationships among emerging leaders who are committed to working together to solve the most pressing challenges of our time, creating a global network that reaches across issues and borders.
After completing the program, Obama Foundation Scholars will return to their communities and continue the important work they started in the program by implementing their own personalized action plan. They will also have an opportunity to play a role in the Obama Foundation’s efforts to inspire, train, and connect rising leaders from around the globe.
Applicants will submit a single application for the Obama Foundation Scholarship online.
The deadline for the applications is Tuesday, 17 April, 2018.
