Update : The Education Department through the Measurement Services Division (MSD) will send the certificates to schools this week (first week of February) . Students are urged to check their school next week (second week of February) onwards. ....... The Education Department Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra has announced that school certificates for Grade 8, 10 and 12 would be ready by the third week of January 2021. This is the third of the January and the department has not released the certificates as yet. Many students, parents and schools have been calling the Measurement Services Divisions (MSD) who produces and prints the certificates but no favorable answers have been given. According to a school principal who contacted the Measurement Services Division, the school certificates are yet to arrive in the country. This was due to COVID-19 and delay in procurement of the certificates and such, there was a delay in arrival and printing of certificates for 2020. It is understood the department is yet to get the certificates from overseas.
However, the Measurement Services has assured schools and students that, certificates will be printed and given to them before the resumption of 2021 academic year. Students who completed Grade 8, 10 and 12 should check with their schools to collect the certificates. School principals or headmasters have been warned not to charge or impose fees on students when they come to collect their certificates. Meanwhile, MSD has also further advised that students who needed the results earlier than the certificates can login in the ‘’MY PNG Examination Results’’ and print out the “Statement of Results.
