![]() Imbonggu MP Pila Niningi opened a two-story dormitory that will be used by boys attending the Buiebi High School in Imbonggu, Southern Highland, on Friday. It cost nearly K2 million and will accommodate 116 students. Niningi said the boys should bring only their blankets as mattresses and pillows were provided. “We are giving priority to education,” he said. “The provincial government allocated K10 million to education. “I have to support the provincial government by improving school facilities in the district. “My district has no resources. “I am building human resources and for this to eventuate, school infrastructure need to be improved.”
Niningi said everyone, including parents, had a duty to make sure the education standard was improved. “Good school infrastructure such as classrooms and dormitories enable students to study with confidence. “It improves their performance, attendance and interest. “Let us work together to improve Government services in the district. “Supporters should help in improving infrastructure,” Niningi said. He reminded students not to remove mattresses and pillows during the school holidays as they a school properties. Niningi thanked Cane Construction Ltd for building the dormitory for boys from the 28 primary schools. School chairman John Molumi said the dormitory had changed the look of the school.
