![]() The Admin Manager for Niiella Enterprise Limited, Rhoda Wong, presented a cheque of K5,000 to UPNG SHP Students Union Executives and UPNG SHP Medical Students Executives. The K5,000 contribution from Niiella Enterprise Limited is for the cause of purchasing the CT Scan Machine for Mendi General Hospital in Southern Highlands Province. Niiella Enterprise Limited is a National Company owned by Daniel Waswas (CEO) who is from the Southern Highlands Province. The Admin Manager, Rhoda Wong, while presenting the cheque, she stressed that the company's mission is to help our people back in the province by supporting such a worthy cause. "So the cause that the students are taking really comes in line with with the visions and missions that the company has, so we realize that the students want to take an initiative to carry out this cause, then we must help them.
"When I spoke to my boss (Daniel Waswas) about the cause that students are taking, he has no taught but to help the students. This is where we have to stand at the back of the students and support them in whatever ways we can. "We are more than happy to see our young energetic students come up such initiative, which is really a worthy cause because it concerns the lives of the people back in the province," Ms Wong added. She further stated that our people back in the province are suffering from accessing the CT Scan Machine which is a basic medical equipment, Mendi General Hospital is lacking. "The theme of this causes; Ask not what SHP can do for you but Ask what you can do for SHP, the theme itself captures the attention of the CEO of the Company so as a company owned by SHP elite, we come to show our heart & support towards this worthy cause. The President of UPNG SHP Students Union, Jonathan Kila, thanked the management of the Niiella Enterprise Limited for the generous support towards the cause of purchasing the CT Scan Machine for Mendi General Hospital. "We the UPNG SHP Students executives are humbled and honoured to receive this support. "This cause is not for personal interest, it is not for personal gain, it is not for political gain, it is not for making profit. "This cause is for the collective interest of the entire students of SHP that are in the University of Papua New Guinea," Kila stated. Kila further stated that the cause we (students) are taking is to save the lives of the people of SHP and we are so thankful for the contributions that are coming in to support this worthy cause. "We are so thankful to the business houses, both public and private, individual elites of SHP, our elected leaders of the districts & province for your consideration in supporting this cause. "We humbly ask all our political leaders in our province to put aside their political differences and help the students to make this cause happen.
