"I fear no-one except my God" was the remarks uttered by firebrand politician and grand corruption fighter, Hon. Belden Norman Namah. The Member for Vanimo Green River was in his electorate last week Friday to officially open two double classrooms at Vanimo Secondary School funded under the District Support Improvement Program (DSIP) funds. As a pioneer student at Vanimo high school in 1983, he felt obliged to assist and the DDA Board released half a million kina (K500,000) to construct the new classrooms. The completed classrooms will cater for new Grade 12 intakes in 2017 after the school was given secondary status by the education board. Mr. Namah also made available funds in this year's budget for a new 25 seater coaster bus for the school, furniture for the teachers in the staffroom, additional half a million kina to continue building infrastructures and K1m each year starting in 2018 for five years. He said, his government in the district will continue to give full support to education to build human resource capacity in Vanimo Green River District so long as he remains their local MP. Caption.
