Lae, Morobe Province – The Morobe Education Advisor has announced the establishment of an e-learning sector within the Division of Education. Advisor Tangui revealed that his current priority is to install 50 e-libraries across schools in the ten districts of Morobe Province. Tangui made this announcement during the official launch of 50 schools by the National Education Minister, Hon. Lucas Dawa Dekena, at Busu Secondary School in Lae. He emphasized that the e-libraries would operate offline, eliminating the need for internet connectivity and data usage, thereby reducing financial burdens on parents. The e-libraries are equipped with a comprehensive array of teaching and learning materials, including encyclopedias, textbooks, and educational software for both students and teachers. Tangui also noted that the e-libraries would contain SBC materials, which would be accessible to teachers and schools at no additional cost.
Overwhelmed with the progress, Tangui promised to engage in discussions with the National Education Department to further support the establishment of the e-learning sector in Morobe. “I thank the Chayil Information Technology Company for creating a unique ICT platform. You are setting a pace where our children, teachers, and the community at large will have innovative technology right at their doorsteps,” Tangui said. Also read Comments are closed.
