![]() Over 400 teachers throughout the country have convened to Port Moresby to mark the Grade 12 National Examination Papers. According to the Education Department, the examination scripts will be marked in various locations in Port Moresby according to the subjects in the next two weeks. The teachers will mark the following subjects that were examined:
The department has encouraged the markers to be fair in their marking. In saying that, the department has also warned that cheating does not only take place in the exam rooms but also in marking venues and as such any teachers or marker caught altering marks or doing biased marking will be removed from the marking venues and refer him or her to the police and Teachers service Commission for disciplinary actions.
Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra has urged all markers to conduct marking fairly and with honesty. There are more than 30,000 thousand grade 12 students from 190 secondary and National High Schools who sat for the National Examinations which ended last Week Friday. The teachers are expected to mark over 200,000 examination scripts in the next two weeks.
