ST Therese Catholic Primary School Grade Eight students are set to enjoy a more comfortable learning experience with the generous donation of 60 new desks and chairs from the International Training Institute (ITI). The school's Head Teacher, Patricia Avire, expressed her joy as the new furniture will replace the floor seating that 10 students in each grade had been enduring since the beginning of the academic year. Avire highlighted that the Grade Eight students, who had been sitting on the floor, would now have the privilege of using the new desks and chairs for their upcoming mock exams. The donation from ITI is a significant step towards improving the learning environment at the school, which was established in 1928 and has faced challenges due to deteriorating buildings. Avire emphasized that the school's learning improvement plan had prioritized the acquisition of desks and chairs. ITI's Chairman and Co-founder, Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval, presented the donation, which is valued at K16,000. He mentioned that this is just the beginning of their support for St. Therese Primary School and revealed plans to extend similar assistance to other schools in the Badili area. In expressing gratitude, the Head Boy, Joseph Swalili, thanked ITI for their kind gesture, emphasizing how the donation is a blessing for the Grade Eight students. Sentheyval added that ITI's commitment to supporting schools and various social groups, including sports organizations, aligns with their corporate social responsibility. ITI aims to continue its support for schools leading up to its 25th anniversary, focusing on collaborating with school administrations to address their specific needs. The initiative has garnered additional support from Ela Motors Badil, Bank South Pacific Financial Group Limited, and Moore Printing Limited. This donation not only marks a positive change for St. Therese Catholic Primary School but also reflects ITI's commitment to giving back to the community through educational support and social responsibility initiatives." also read Comments are closed.
