EDUCATION secretary Dr Uke Kombra says about 31,500 students from 205 secondary schools, including private and permitted schools and six national high schools, will sit for the Grade 12 Written Expression exam on Monday. Dr Kombra said the Education Department through its Measurement Services Division had already dispatched materials for the Grade 12 Written Expression Examination to all provinces. “All Grade 12 students should have received their Written Expression Resource Booklet on July 26 and read and prepared for the actual written expression examination which has been scheduled for Monday,” he said. “By requirement, all students are given a week to prepare themselves for the examination.”
Dr Kombra said provincial education advisers, provincial examination supervisors, senior secondary inspectors, guidance officers, principals and governing councils needed to be vigilant and security conscious with the security of the examination materials by following the rules enforced by the Measurement Services Division. “Everyone involved in the examination process is advised to prevent all tendencies towards any mal-practice that may compromise the results,” he said. Kombra said the penalty for cheating or assisting to cheat in national examinations is non-certification and requested all citizens support fair examinations. “In light of the Covid-19 and its variants, we need to be vigilant in taking care of ourselves by following the new normal protocols such as washing hands, wearing masks and the reasonable social distancing guidelines,” he said. “Though vaccination is not mandatory, it is encouraged that we avail ourselves with the vaccinations where possible for the good of ourselves and the wellbeing of others.” The National / PNG Education news Next : Young Cop Graduates In Law Comments are closed.
