HAVING good, comfortable classrooms helps learning and encourages teachers to perform, a senior Government official says. The newly-established Zifasing School of Academy in Morobe’s Huon Gulf tried to follow the district development authority’s aim to provide quality education infrastructures in the district. Huon Gulf administrator Moses Wanga said quality education depended on good infrastructure among other aspects. “Once students have good classrooms, desk, tables, with other things they need in a classroom, it will motivate them to learn properly,” he said. “Also, teachers will be motivated to fill the atmosphere in the classroom to the best of their ability to enjoy teaching in an environment that is conducive.”
Wanga said classrooms – a four-in-one and an eight-in-one buildings cost more than K1.5 million. Both were complete. The school will have about six feeder schools (primary) and four early-childhood education schools. Wanga said the school would feature a flexible and open distant education to cater for its students who could not make it to grades nine and 11.
