Students under the Faculty of Education with Divine Word University’s St Benedict’s Campus in Wewak, East Sepik Province are privileged to have the East Sepik Government step in, to assist with funds to go towards their Field Teaching Practice (FTP).
This follows the presentation of a K300, 000 cheque by the East Sepik Provincial Chairman of Education, Mr Jackson Kapmawal to the Vice President of St Benedict’s Campus, Dr Fr Lawrence Arockiaraj on the 8th of September, 2020.
“I am grateful for the East Sepik Government’s continuous support and in honoring its commitments,” the SBC Vice President, Dr Fr Lawrence Arockiaraj said.
This cheque presentation was witnessed by the East Sepik Provincial Education Advisor, Mr Raymond Bagawi and SBC’s Students Service Director, Mr Vincent Sobo along with SBC’s Senior Accounts Officer, Mr Cherubim Ramarakia.
Field Teaching Practice or FTP is when the student teachers actually go out and practice teaching in Primary and Secondary schools, in order to master the art of teaching gained from their theory lessons before they graduate.
