A MISSIONARY from Brazil is visiting an elementary school he established at the border between Jiwaka and Western Highlands.
Celheo Kalino is based in Mt Hagen and used his own resources to establish the Ruldi Elementary School. The school has three teachers who use an American syllabus to teach children. Kalino, who returned from Brazil three months ago to visit his family, was given a rousing welcome by Ruldi Elementary School students. “I am honoured to be back to visit my school and students,” he said. “What you little kids are doing is touching my heart.” Kalino said he had other commitments but decided to visit the school. “I can see that the school is progressing well without any difficulties,” he said. He urged the locals to look after the school. “I am trying my best to provide facilities so that children can access quality education and become productive citizens of the country.” Local John Negints said the school was a blessing for the community. He thanked God for sending the missionary to the area. Comments are closed.
