![]() HE Jonathan Philp, Australian High Commissioner to PNG has opened new lecture room complex built at a cost of K12 million at Irelya, Wabag District. The Government of Australia funded the project at a cost of K10 million and the Enga Provincial Government put in a K2 million grant as counterpart funding. The 4-storey building will serve as lecture rooms for the training of high and secondary school teachers by the University of Goroka Enga Campus at Irelya. Governor of Enga Sir Peter Ipatas thanked the people and government of Australia for the gift to the children of Enga and PNG to have the best teachers trained here for their education. Into the long term this building will form as one of the cornerstone facilities for the proposed Enga University.
