A female teacher is dead in Madang Province after she was stabbed twice on her back by her husband on Christmas eve. The incident occurred on Friday night at around 7pm at Bilia Maus Rot. An incident report by police yesterday revealed the couple was drinking alcohol and got involved in an argument when the husband stabbed her in the back. The mother of three was rushed to the hospital but died on the way.
Police have identified her as 35-year old Sharon Waiman, from Maringe Village in the Wosera-Gawi District of East Sepik Province. She's a Primary School teacher in the Middle Ramu District and was on holiday. Police also identified the suspect, who is the husband as Saian Tom Kanisa, who's employed as a driver with Guard Dog Security Services in Madang. He voluntarily gave himself into police yesterday, charged and remanded in police custody. Investigations are underway.
