PRIVATE schools operating in East New Britain have been urged to register with the Education Department so their students can sit for the national examinations.
Senior professional assistance for elementary schools in the province Ludwina Lui said many parents have opted to send their children to these private schools due to the overcrowding at conventional schools. She said schools must write letters of interest and submit to the provincial division of education in order to be registered under the Department of Education. “If private schools are registered, the good thing about it is that Grades 6, 8, 10 and 12, will be eligible to sit for the national examinations like students in conventional schools,” Lui said. She said students at private schools if they perform well can be selected to continue at other schools. Lui has also appealed to schools in the province to submit their membership list of new board of management and governors for 2016 to 2018. She said this was important so school boards could access school funds from commercial banks. Technical and vocational educational training institutions were also urged to complete their census forms and submit to the education office.

I've been running Matriculation Studies for over 16 years now. Many have succeeded tertiary education over the years. Until now the institution is in question for not having registered to respective Government office. Especially teaching staff are dismissed from duties due to Gr.12 certificates obtained from this school.
