THE second batch of Central students, who are part of the Governor Haoda Scholarship Programme left on Wednesday for Malaysia to further their education.
The group of five women and three men were farewelled by Governor Kila Haoda, provincial administrator Gei Raga and relatives of the students at the Jackson International Airport. Haoda challenged the students to be good ambassadors of Central while in Malaysia. He urged them to study hard and achieve the highest possible marks in their fields of study. “Do your parents proud – and your province and the country,” Haoda said. “I came up with this initiative because I want children from Central to excel in future and be leaders of this nation.”
