It is now one week after a two storey dormitory at Bogia's Holy Spirit High School was gutted by fire, however; education authorities in Madang Province are yet to decide on whether to suspend classes at this particular school or not.
School principal, John Malangen, says that while all students have gone home teachers are still at the school waiting on the provincial education office and the Catholic Education Secretary to give them further advice. Secretary of Catholic Education in Madang, Bruno Tulemanil, when contacted for his comments yesterday afternoon says the situation is being deliberated on very carefully by the relevant agencies and that both the teachers and students will be advised in due course. Tulemmanil says the provincial education boss, Moses Sariki has been out of the province attending an important education meeting in Wewak this week and therefore could not comment as yet. Mr Tulemanil also said that as much as possible they want to recall the grade ten students to prepare them for their written expression examination in about two weeks time.
